Eray Turkel, PhD, is a Senior Data Scientist at Google since June 2022, working on the Google Econometrics team to develop statistical solutions and facilitate data-driven decision-making across various products and functions. Previously, Eray served as a Data Scientist at Uber and as an Applied Scientist II in the Experimentation Science Team. Research and teaching experience include positions at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant, as well as an internship as a Research Scientist at Facebook. Additionally, Eray worked as a Business Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co., focusing on tech infrastructure changes related to Brexit, and has teaching and research experience from positions at Bogazici University and Koç University. Eray holds a PhD from Stanford University, a Master of Science in Statistics from Stanford, and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge, along with a BA in Economics from Boğaziçi University.
