Fatma Ozcan is a Principal Engineer in the Systems Research Group at Google since September 2020, following a brief tenure as a Principal Software Engineer at IBM in 2020. Prior to this, Fatma served as a Distinguished Research Staff Member and Principal Research Staff Member at IBM Almaden Research Center from 2001 to 2020. Earlier experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, College Park, and Middle East Technical University, as well as a Researcher at TUBITAK. Fatma holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and both an M.S. and B.S. in Computer Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
