Ian Rogers is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the tech industry, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Google since June 2011. Prior to Google, Ian held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Azul Systems from May 2009 to May 2011, and served as a Developer for GNU Classpath from January 2006 to July 2009. Ian's experience also includes a role as a Research Fellow at The University of Manchester between April 2002 and April 2009, and as Design Authority and Senior Engineer at Transitive from March 2002 to March 2003, where key contributions were made to the initial development of Apple's Rosetta. Ian Rogers earned a BEng, MPhil, and PhD in Computer Engineering from The University of Manchester, where education was pursued from January 1995 to January 2002, and attended Ridge Danyers College from January 1993 to January 1995.
