Matias Duarte

Matias Duarte is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in user experience and interface design. Currently at Google since May 2010, Matias has held various leadership roles including VP Design, VP/GM of AI Experience Infrastructure, and VP of Material Design, focusing on innovation and cohesive experiences in products like Ads and Pixel. Prior to Google, Matias served as VP of Design at Palm and led human interface and user experience initiatives. Experience also includes Vice President of Experience Design at Helio, where Matias enhanced the user experience across all products and services, and Director of Design at Danger, overseeing the comprehensive user experience of the hiptop hardware and software. Matias holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, graduated in 1996.
