Pengchong Jin is a Senior Staff Software Engineer and TLM at Google, specializing in Generative AI and Large Model Products since July 2023. Previously, Pengchong served as a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead Manager at Waymo, overseeing the construction reasoning team within Perception from February 2021 to July 2023, focusing on advanced challenges in perception and dynamic scene understanding. Prior to that, from February 2015 to February 2021, Pengchong worked at Google as a Staff Software Engineer within Google Brain, contributing to computer vision and deep learning innovations, including the design and implementation of the Tensorflow object detection framework and co-inventing state-of-the-art models like SpineNet. Early experiences include a software engineering internship at Google in 2014 and a summer analyst role at Morgan Stanley in 2008. Pengchong Jin holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
