Wentao Tu

Wentao Tu is a proficient software engineer currently working at Google since January 2025, focusing on on-device AI. Prior to this role, Wentao served as a machine learning engineer at Black Sesame Technologies Inc, where contributions included the development of the ShanHai AI toolchain. With a strong background in quantitative analysis and machine learning, Wentao held positions as a quantitative portfolio manager at Tokio Marine America, where tasks involved managing an AI-driven equity fund, and as a quantitative associate at Morgan Stanley, focusing on credit default swap pricing models. Previously, Wentao also worked as a machine learning engineer at Fund3 and Rebellion Research, engaging in advanced statistical modeling and trading strategy development, and began the professional journey as an algorithm engineer at Ant Group. Wentao holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from the University of Southern California.
