Yantao Zhang

Yantao Zhang is a highly experienced software engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Google since October 2023, focusing on Core ML Serving. Prior to this role, Yantao worked at Cresta from March 2022 to October 2023, developing machine learning infrastructure for real-time conversation AI. Between March 2016 and March 2022, Yantao held the position of Staff Software Engineer at Google, contributing to next-generation crawl scheduling infrastructure. Earlier experience includes a Research Assistant role at the University of Maryland and a Biometrics Intern position at Digital Signal Corporation, where software was developed for face recognition analysis. Additionally, Yantao served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland College Park. Yantao holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
