Olafur Dadason

General Manager - CEO at GoPro

Olafur Dadason has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Olafur is currently serving as the Chairman of Canalix since 2018.

Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at GoPro, starting in 1993, including General Manager - CEO and Founder and CEO of GoPro and Hugvit ltd. Olafur was involved in merging and acquiring six companies to establish GoPro and Hugvit hf.

Olafur Dadason also served as CEO of Hugvit, both in Iceland and in GoPro Landsteinar Group. Olafur was a board member of the Trade Council of Iceland from 2007 to 2011 and Landsteinar from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they held a board member position at Form.is in Iceland.

Olafur began their career at IBM Iceland / Nyherji Ltd in 1983 and also worked as a sales manager at IBM until 1992.

Olafur Dadason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from Háskóli Íslands (University of Iceland) between the years 1982 and 1988.
