Rachel Rowlands is an experienced scientist specializing in medicinal chemistry with a focus on synthesizing novel analogues to enhance potency and selectivity, structure-based drug design, molecular modeling, and the development of covalent inhibitors. Currently serving as Scientist II at Vividion Therapeutics, Inc. since August 2023, Rachel previously held roles at Gossamer Bio and Lycera, as well as positions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Michigan, where a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry was obtained in February 2020. Early research experience includes positions as an undergraduate researcher at Juniata College, the University of Washington, and the University of Rochester, encompassing various aspects of organic synthesis and biological assay development.
