Tom Desmond

Tom Desmond is a seasoned partner at Velocity Capital Fintech Ventures, a venture capital fund specializing in innovative early-stage fintech companies. In addition to this role, Tom serves as a member of the board of directors for multiple organizations, including Gotrade, Owlin, Openclaims, Lendahand, Mathesis Analytics, and Carolina Fintech Hub, among others. Previously, Tom held a board position with five°degrees until its acquisition by Topicus. Tom's educational background includes an MBA with a focus on Finance, Accounting, and Marketing from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and master's and bachelor's degrees in English from Michigan State University and the University of Notre Dame, respectively.
