Olivia Townsend has had a diverse range of work experience across multiple industries. Olivia began their career in 2013 at Superdrug, where they worked in sales until 2015. In 2014, they gained work experience at Ambassador Theatre Group.
Olivia then transitioned into the public sector, starting with placements at the UK government and Staffordshire County Council in 2017. Olivia continued their public sector work by joining The Business Transformation Network (The BTN) in 2019, initially as a Partnerships and Events Officer. Olivia was subsequently promoted to the roles of Partnerships and Events Executive and finally Partnerships and Events Lead until April 2021.
In 2021, Olivia joined the Institute of Government & Public Policy as a Content Development Executive. Olivia was later promoted to Content Development Manager but left the position in February 2023.
Currently, Olivia is working as the Head of Content at GovNet, a position they began in February 2023.
Olivia Townsend attended the University of Exeter, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politics. Additionally, they have obtained two additional certifications. In October 2022, they completed the "Public Speaking Masterclass for Directors" at In Professional Development (InPD). In August 2022, they completed the "CMI Level 5 Leadership and Management Programme," also at In Professional Development (INPD).
