Matthias Berens

Matthias Berens serves as the Sales Manager for Central Europe at GrafTech International since May 2022, contributing to the production of graphite electrodes vital for steel manufacturing. Prior experience at thyssenkrupp Steel spans from October 2013 to April 2022, including roles as Head of Sales for the Construction Industry, Product Manager for Hot Forming Products, and (Junior) Key Account Manager for Energy & EPC in MENA, focusing on sales for various construction applications and heavy plates. Earlier, Matthias held the position of Research and Development Engineer at ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel GmbH, specializing in enhancements of electrical steel products. Matthias is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht and holds a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from Université de Technologie de Compiègne and a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur from Technische Universität Braunschweig.
