Ryan M Paul

Ryan M Paul, PhD, PE has a diverse work experience in the field of materials science and engineering. Ryan M is currently working as an Associate Director of R&D at GrafTech International since July 2022. Prior to this, they were a Carbon materials scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from September 2020 to July 2022.

Ryan also has extensive experience at GrafTech International, where they held various roles. Ryan M served as an Associate Director / Materials Scientist from August 2019 to September 2020. Before that, they worked as a Technology Manager / Materials Scientist from December 2014 to July 2019. Ryan also worked as a Senior Research Scientist from July 2014 to November 2014, a Research Scientist from July 2013 to June 2014, and a Staff Scientist from July 2011 to June 2013.

Throughout their career, Ryan has demonstrated expertise in carbon materials and has made valuable contributions in research and development.

Ryan M Paul, PhD, PE received a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University in 2005. Ryan M then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2005 to 2007 at the same institution. Continuing their education, Ryan earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Materials Science from The Ohio State University from 2007 to 2009. Finally, they completed their educational journey by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Materials Science from The Ohio State University from 2009 to 2011.
