David Burkhardt has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and data science. David started their career as a PhD student at UCSF in 2007 and completed their studies in 2014. Following their PhD, they joined Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Research Scientist and worked there until 2016. David then joined CRISPR Therapeutics as a Scientist in Computational Biology and worked there until 2018. Currently, David holds the position of Associate Director in Bioinformatics and Data Science at GRAIL, Inc.
David Burkhardt attended Haverford College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Later on, they pursued a doctoral degree in Biophysics at the University of California, San Francisco.
