Kevin McDermott is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the Senior Engineering Manager for Security Engineering at Grammarly, where responsibilities include overseeing Product Security and reporting directly to the CISO. Prior to Grammarly, Kevin held several key positions at Okta, including Senior Manager of Product Security, where leadership of Product Security Reviews encompassed a diverse team responsible for comprehensive security practices throughout the product development lifecycle. Kevin's extensive background also includes roles as Principal Application Security Architect at Arrow Electronics and Application Security Engineer at MailChimp, alongside various engineering positions at Coalfire Systems, Northrop Grumman, and as an intern at multiple companies. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University.
