Melissa Brown

Melissa Brown currently serves as a Board Director for the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program at the Great Barrier Reef Foundation and holds multiple academic positions at The University of Queensland, including Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science. In addition to these roles, Melissa has been President of The Australian Council of Deans of Science since April 2019 and a Board Director for the Australian Science Media Centre since September 2017. Previous experience includes directorships at Mater Research and founding roles at The University of Melbourne and King's College London. Melissa's academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Melbourne, along with several degrees in science-related fields. Melissa's leadership spans various institutions and contributes significantly to scientific education and research.
