Mark Briers has extensive experience in the QHSE and management sectors, having worked at Greater Anglia since June 2008, holding various positions including Fleet QHSE Manager, Safety and Services Manager, and Engineering Document Controller. Prior to this, Mark served at Walsingham College Trust Association from 2000 to 2008 in roles such as Compliance Manager and Assistant Catering Manager. Mark holds qualifications from BSI Training Academy, including certifications as a CQI and IRCA certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and ISO 44001:2017 Collaborative Working Internal Auditor. Academic credentials also include an HND in Hospitality Management and professional cookery qualifications from Norcat.

The new Greater Anglia franchise began operating on 16 October 2016. We provide intercity, commuter and rural services throughout Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, including the Stansted Express service. We’re responsible for over 3,000 employees, operate 1,300 train services per day and we’re at 133 stations. Greater Anglia is transforming the railway in East Anglia. We’re replacing every single train with brand new trains with air conditioning, plug and USB points and fast free wifi, which started to come into service during 2019.
