Martin Sainsbury

Martin Sainsbury is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public sector communication and engagement leadership. Currently serving as Assistant Director for Communications, Engagement and Campaigns at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority since April 2022, Martin oversees the communications strategy for key regional figures and agencies. Previous roles include Communications Lead for the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership during the Covid-19 pandemic, Communications Manager for the British Red Cross, and various strategic communications positions within the UK government. Martin holds a BA Hons in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford and has a strong foundation in strategic planning and engagement across diverse sectors.
