Sam O'Brien

Sam O'Brien is an experienced environmental policy professional presently serving as an Environmental Policy Advisor at Greater Wellington Regional Council since February 2023. Prior roles include Planning Officer Intern at Central Otago District Council from November 2021 to February 2022, and Check Clean Dry Advocate at Otago Regional Council from December 2020 to February 2021. Sam's early career includes a position as a Vineyard Worker at Weaver Estate in late 2018. Education includes a Master of Planning from the University of Otago (2021-2022) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Management with a Politics minor from the same institution (2018-2020), following graduation from Dunstan High School in 2017.
