Sumeet Vaidya

Sumeet Vaidya is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in engineering and product management. Currently serving as a Scout at Greylock since February 2022, Sumeet has also been an Angel Investor and Engineering and Product Advisor since August 2020. Prior to these roles, Sumeet held multiple prominent engineering leadership positions at Discord from October 2020 to November 2024, including Director of Engineering for the Social Layer, Personalization/AI Product, Communities and Creators, Activities Platform, and Bots, overseeing various teams and initiatives to enhance user experiences and community engagement. Sumeet's earlier experience includes engineering management roles at Uber, where responsibilities involved micromobility, vehicle solutions, and international growth, as well as software engineering at Facebook, IBM, and Microsoft. Sumeet holds both a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
