Nate Crossett has a diverse work experience that spans over 15 years. Nate currently serves as the RI STEM Project Lead, Community Relations & STEM Coordinator at the Griffiss Institute since 2019. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2019, they worked as the Project Director at the Workforce Development Board of Herkimer, Madison & Oneida Counties. Before entering the field of project management, Nate worked as a Congressional Aide for the U.S. House of Representatives from 2014 to 2016. Nate also gained valuable media experience, working as a Producer & Internet Producer for CNY Central from 2008 to 2014, a Producer for CBS6-WRGB from 2007 to 2008, and a News Reporter for WKTV NewsChannel 2 from 2004 to 2007.
Nate Crossett has a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, which they obtained from Le Moyne College between the years 2002 and 2004. Prior to that, they attended Herkimer County Community College from 2000 to 2002, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Radio and Television. Griffiss Institute
The Griffiss Institute (GI) was established in 2002 as an independent 501(c)(3) entity governed by a Board of Directors. The primary role of the GI is to advocate and facilitate the co-operation of private industry, academia and government in developing solutions to critical cyber security problems. Another prime role is to build upontechnologies under development at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Information Directorate to further strengthen the security of our nation's cyber infrastructure.By partnering AFRL with private industry and academia the Griffiss Institute is able to facilitate and grow the technology base of the Upstate NY region. We are focused on providing an environment conducive to the growth of technology and ideas by creating a collaborative research environment accessible to AFRL, local business and academia with the expressed goals of fostering research leading to new solutions in information assurance and spinning out new business opportunities.Member of the Business Incubation Association of New York State.
