Jim Thorne has extensive work experience in the food industry. Jim is currently the President, Nourish Ventures and Senior Vice President, Partnerships & Strategy at Griffith Foods. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Vice President of Global Strategy and Marketing at Griffith Foods. Before joining Griffith Foods, Thorne worked as the General Manager of Canada at Griffith Foods. Jim also has experience serving on the board of directors for the Canadian Meat Council and the Food Processors of Canada. Additionally, Thorne held several leadership positions at Marsan Foods Limited, VLR Food Corporation, Maple Leaf Foods Inc, Campbell Soup Company, Pillsbury Canada, and Nabisco, where they gained experience in product management and brand management. Furthermore, Thorne was the Co-Chair of the Food Processing Roundtable for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where they played a key role in enhancing the competitiveness of the Canadian food processing industry.
Jim Thorne attended Queen's University from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Economics and History. Jim later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Queen's University from 1988 to 1990.
