David Smith

David Smith holds extensive experience in education and historical presentation. Smith has served as a Latin teacher for the Grosse Pointe Public School System since September 1998 and has been an adjunct faculty member at Wayne State University since 1992, teaching a range of courses in Latin and Classical Studies. Additionally, Smith operates as a Midwestern Representative and presenter for Legion XXIV Historical Presenters and has been a Rider Coach for Motorcycle Safety Instructors since April 1996. Smith founded Happy Chap's House of Bikes, Books, and Things in 2017, where a variety of services including bicycle sales, motorcycle training, and tutoring are offered. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Latin and Classical Studies from Wayne State University, complemented by a Motorcycle Safety Instructor Certification from Macomb Community College.
