Marcus Chen has a strong background in cloud engineering, with experience in various roles and companies. Marcus began their career as a Wireline Field Engineer at Schlumberger in 2011, where they worked until 2013. Marcus then joined Capgemini Australia as a Senior Consultant, focusing on AWS infrastructure and CICD automation. In 2016, they moved to Versent as a Senior Cloud Engineer. Currently, Marcus is working at GROW Inc as a Senior DevOps Engineer, supporting Corda blockchain workload with AWS infrastructure and orchestration. Marcus is responsible for optimizing DevOps workflow, building a dynamic team culture, and promoting an automation mindset.
Marcus Chen completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree, with a specialization in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, from Monash University. Marcus attended Monash University from 2006 to 2011. In addition, they pursued Engineering (Electrical) at Purdue University from 2008 to 2009, although the degree attained is not specified.
Furthermore, Marcus Chen also obtained a Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree from Monash University during the same period as their engineering degree.
To enhance their professional skills, Marcus has acquired additional certifications. In 2014, they became an AWS Solution Architect (Associate) certified by Amazon Web Services. More recently, in May 2021, they obtained the Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification from The Linux Foundation.
