Mariama Boumanjal is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Google for Startups UK Lead and Manager of the Google for Startups Founders Fund for Europe (Ukraine) and Africa since 2015. Mariama has a strong commitment to supporting underrepresented founders, particularly Black entrepreneurs in Europe and Africa. With experience in various roles at Google, including Senior Startup Partner Manager and Program Manager, Mariama focuses on leveraging Google’s resources to empower startups. In addition, Mariama is an Innovation Fellow at Grow London, co-founder of an NGO supporting refugees in Morocco, and has previous experience as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Barclays and a Relationship Manager Summer Intern at HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Political Philosophy from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Arabic from SOAS University of London.
