Layla Katiraee

Layla Katiraee is an accomplished scientific professional with extensive experience in research and development within the molecular genomics field. Currently serving as the Director of Research and Development at GT Molecular since April 2025 and as a Senior Staff Scientist at 10x Genomics since January 2020, Layla manages complex projects and teams while ensuring efficient product development across various platforms, including spatial and single-cell technologies. Prior roles include Principal Scientist II at Roche, Staff Scientist positions at Integrated DNA Technologies and Complete Genomics Inc., and Senior Scientist roles at Illumina. Layla holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto, a Master's certificate in Applied Bioinformatics from Penn State University, and an HBSc in Biochemistry from Western University.
