Paul Brown is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Head of Engineering at The Guardian since January 2016, overseeing multiple engineering teams within the Supporter Revenues division. Prior to this role, Paul held positions including Senior Engineering Manager and Developer Manager, contributing significantly to Guardian Digital’s Reader Revenue and membership subscription products. Before joining The Guardian, Paul worked as Tech Lead/Architect at Elbi Digital and held various development roles at Betfair, where Paul was instrumental in scaling public APIs and enhancing Betfair’s Exchange platform. Paul began the career as a Software Developer at LondonMarketing and briefly served as a Transport Officer at HM Revenue & Customs. Paul holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham.
