Rainer Gawlick is a seasoned technology executive with extensive operating, strategy, and board experience. Rainer is on the board at Proto Labs (NYSE: PRLB), where he chairs the compensation committee and is a member of the audit committee. Rainer joined the board of Proto Labs in 2008 to bring expertise in strategy, sales, marketing and international expansion to the company. Rainer also serves on the boards of Chyronhego, Meltwater, and Progress (NASDAQ: PRGS).
Rainer has held executive sales and marketing positions at a broad range of technology companies including AspenTech, Lightship, SolidWorks, Sophos, Intralinks and most recently at Perfecto Mobile at which he served as President. Rainer brings deep experience with a broad set of business models and go-to-market approaches. Rainer started his career at McKinsey & Company.
Rainer earned his B.A. in Physics from The University of California at Berkeley. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT.
