Paul Russell has extensive experience in technology and leadership roles. Paul is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Gumtree Group, overseeing Gumtree, CarsGuide, and Autotrader. Prior to that, they served as the CTO at Isentia, where they led the Technology team and delivered new product features while transforming internal operations. Paul also worked as an Advisor at Medulla, focusing on supporting manufacturers in their transition to Industry 4.0. Paul has held CTO positions at Yahoo7, SoftwareSeni, Salmat, and Network Ten, where they were responsible for transforming the technology function and delivering innovative products. Paul's expertise also includes serving as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Fairfax Digital, where they modernized the web delivery infrastructure and led a team of 120.
Paul Russell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Technology (with Honors I) from UNSW. Paul also has a Business Management Certificate (mini MBA) from the Australian Institute of Management and is a past member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
