H.I.G. Capital
Matt is a Principal based in the Miami office of H.I.G. Capital. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing and implementation of post-closing growth, operational, and add-on acquisition strategies.
Matt has private equity experience across a variety of industries, with a focus on business services, manufacturing, energy and chemicals. He currently serves on the board of directors of several H.I.G. Capital portfolio companies.
Prior to joining H.I.G., Matt worked for The Sterling Group, an operationally focused middle market private equity firm based in Houston. Matt started his career at RBS, in the Energy and Chemicals investment banking group.
Matt received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from Columbia University
