Weiliang Xu

Weiliang Xu is an experienced electrical engineer with a solid background in hardware and firmware design, particularly for motors used in CNC machines and oil/gas production systems. Currently serving as an Electrical Engineer V at Haas Automation, Inc., since April 2019, Weiliang leads the design and testing of digital control systems for induction and PM servo motors. Previous roles include Senior Electrical Engineer positions at Upwing Energy and S&C Electric Company, where responsibilities encompassed product development, electrical testing, and mentoring junior engineers. Additional experience includes designing electronics for extreme conditions at Schlumberger and KeyDrill Technology LLC, as well as firmware development for power supplies at Eltek Valere. Weiliang holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Houston and a Master's Degree in Semiconductor Physics from Sun Yat-sen University.
