Samuel Schmitt is an experienced educator with a comprehensive background in economics and leadership within the academic sector. Currently serving as Head of Department at St Paul's School since July 2006, Schmitt also contributes to Hodder Education as a CPD trainer, delivering student revision conferences and authoring resources, including the Theme 4 Economics workbook. Since June 2007, Schmitt has been a Senior Examiner and team leader for A-Level Economics at Pearson. Recently, Schmitt took on the role of Economics Teacher and acting Head of Department at Hammersmith Academy, providing guidance on the Edexcel curriculum and supporting staff transitions. Earlier in their career, Schmitt was the Head of Sixth Form at The British School In Colombo. Schmitt's educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from UCL's IOE and a BSc in Economics & Economic History from the University of Bristol, with ongoing studies for a PGCE in Secondary Education at the University of Buckingham.
