Eyüp Engin joined Akbank in 1978 as Assistant Internal Auditor. Following his auditing assignment, Mr. Engin served as Department Head in Treasury, International Banking and Overseas Financial Institutions. He was appointed Executive Vice President in charge of Corporate Banking in 1996. Subsequently, Mr. Engin served as Executive Vice President in charge of International Banking and Overseas Financial Institutions Marketing.
Eyüp Engin was appointed to the position of Head of Internal Audit in 2007 and during 2007-2019 he served on Boards of Directors of the Bank's subsidiaries as the President of the Audit Committee. He is a graduate of Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Engin was elected as Executive Board Member in March 2019 and he was elected as Vice Chairman and Executive Board Member in March 2020. He is a member of TÜSİAD. Eyüp Engin has served as Vice Chairman of Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş.. since 2018.
Additionally, Eyüp Engin is Banking Unit President and Executive Committee Member of Sabancı Holding, Board Member of TT Mobil A.Ş. and TT Net A.Ş. and also Chairman of Argela Yazılım ve Bilişim Teknolojileri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.
