Hackney CVS
Yolanda Lear is an experienced youth leader and project facilitator currently serving as the Account Project Lead and Youth Justice Leader at Account Hackney since September 2020. In this role, Yolanda contributes to an independent advisory group of young people focused on monitoring policing issues in Hackney. Additionally, Yolanda works as a Research Officer at Hackney CVS, where responsibilities include setting up community programs for young people aged 11-25. Involvement extends to Healthwatch Hackney as a Public Representatives Project Support member, attending governance meetings to represent public interests. Yolanda has also facilitated various workshops for organizations such as the African Community School and the Young Brent Foundation, actively promoting youth leadership and well-being. Academic background includes qualifications in childcare and young people from Lewisham College and Southwark College, as well as AS-levels and GCSEs from Leyton Sixth Form College and Hackney Free and Parochial school, respectively.

Hackney CVS (Council for Voluntary Service) is the umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in Hackney. Hackney CVS supports organisations and communities to work together to tackle inequalities and find solutions to entrenched social problems. Hackney CVS provides advice and training and also acts as a bridge between the public sector and local community groups.
