Hadassah
Julie Makowski currently serves as Associate General Counsel at Hadassah, a position held since July 2020, previously serving as Assistant General Counsel. Prior experience includes roles as a Corporate Associate at Davis & Gilbert LLP from March 2019 to July 2020 and at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from September 2015 to February 2019. Julie's legal career began with internships at Time Inc., the Honorable Randy Sue Marber's office at Nassau County Supreme Court, and the Queens District Attorney's Office. Julie earned a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law, completing studies between 2013 and 2015, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies and Psychology from the University of Michigan, obtained in 2012.

Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer organization that inspires a passion for and commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel. It enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. Hadassah empowers its members and supporters, as well as youth in Israel and America through opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy and Jewish continuity.
