Laurie Sheinhaus started their work experience in 2010 as a Patient Representative at Atrium Health. Laurie then moved to Levine Children's Hospital in 2016, where they worked as a Child Life Services Volunteer until 2019. In 2018, Laurie joined Hadassah as the Vice President of Membership and later became the Vice President of Communications in 2019.

Laurie Sheinhaus completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General at Ithaca College from 1982 to 1986. Laurie then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at the University of Miami, which they obtained from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, Laurie Sheinhaus also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Miami, although the specific dates of this degree remain unknown.
