Emily Tan

Emily Tan serves as an Independent Non-Executive Board Director at Hafnia, the largest tanker company globally listed on major stock exchanges, since May 2025. In June 2022, Emily became CEO of Thales Solutions Asia Pte Ltd and Country Director for Thales in Singapore, leading a workforce of 2,000 and steering growth across diverse sectors. Prior experience includes various senior roles at Shell from 2008 to 2022, where responsibilities encompassed global management in renewable energy, energy transition strategies in Singapore, and overseeing the Bitumen business across Asia and the Middle East. Emily co-founded Exploit Technologies Pte Ltd in 2002, managing the commercialization of intellectual property for A*STAR's research institutes. Emily holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
