Erik Elzinga

Erik Elzinga is an Operations Manager at Hafnia since October 2020, where responsibilities include operating CPP on TC and spot Pool vessels, participating in a Fuel Optimization project, and overseeing the Port Agency Team to manage costs for ports East of Suez. Prior experience includes a Project Manager role at BW Group from August 2009 to October 2020, where Erik managed various environmental and technical projects. Additional positions within BW Group included Lead Hull and Painting Superintendent, HSE Superintendent & Document Controller, and Technical Analyst, covering a range of site management, safety audits, and engineering analysis tasks. Early career experience involved an engineering internship at 3M, focusing on fibre optic research and development. Erik holds an MSc in Marine Technology and a BEng (Hons) in Marine Engineering from Newcastle University, as well as a Diploma in Electronics, Computers & Wireless Communication from Nanyang Polytechnic. Erik is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
