Brad MacKenzie has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership roles in the cybersecurity industry. Brad currently serves as the Vice President of Services at Halcyon since May 2023. Previously, Brad worked at Clear Skies Security, where they started as the CEO in December 2008 and later became the Managing Director until April 2023 when the company merged with Cerberus Sentinel. Prior to that, Brad held the position of Global Lead - Penetration Test Team at IBM Internet Security Systems from November 1999 to December 2008. Brad also worked as a Systems Manager at Manhattan Associates from 1998 to 2000 and as an Integration Engineer at CelsiusTech Systems from 1996 to 1997. Earlier in their career, Brad served in different roles at Queensland University of Technology, including Information Security Research Centre Lab Manager and Computer System Officer.

Brad MacKenzie completed their education at several institutions. Brad attended Griffith University from 1988 to 1991, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Microelectronics and Computing. Following this, from 1993 to 1994, they studied at QUT (Queensland University of Technology), earning a Graduate Diploma in Computer Science. Subsequently, from 1994 to 1996, Brad MacKenzie continued their education at QUT and obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Computer Security.
