Dame Louise Makin

Dame Louise Makin is an experienced leader currently serving as Non Executive Chair at Halma plc since July 2021 and as a Business Mentor at Merryck & Co. EMEA since November 2020. Makin has held various director and trustee roles, including Non Executive Director positions at Atotech Group and Theramex from 2020 to 2022, and Chair of the 1851 Trust from 2017 to 2022. Makin's previous experience includes significant leadership roles such as CEO of BTG plc from 2004 to 2019 and President of Biopharmaceuticals Europe at Baxter Healthcare. Education includes a MA and PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge.
