Erik von Stackelberg has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Erik is currently the Head of Design at Halo, where they are responsible for building a function focused on lean product management, research, and design. Prior to this, they worked as a Design Consultant at Werkstatt von Stackelberg, specializing in identity design, interface design, and design strategy for clients in the education, non-profit, and government sectors. Additionally, Erik served as the Chief Design Officer at Orium (formerly Myplanet), where they advocated for human-centricity and advanced the design capabilities of the company. Erik also co-founded Orium and scaled the design function to include over 20 practitioners and managers. Before that, Erik worked as a Lecturer at General Assembly Canada. Throughout their career, Erik has consistently demonstrated their expertise in design and their commitment to social impact and innovation.
Erik von Stackelberg has a strong educational background in media, information, and technoculture. Erik obtained a Bachelor of Arts Honors Specialization in Media, Information & Technoculture from Western University in the year 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Information & Technoculture with a focus on Media Theory & Production from the same university, completing their degree in 2008.
In addition to their university education, Erik attended Fanshawe College from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained an Applied Diploma in Multimedia Design & Production.
Erik von Stackelberg further enhanced their qualifications by obtaining a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance in November 2014.
