Ting Yu

Research Director, Cyber Security at Hamad Bin Khalifa University

Ting Yu has a strong background in computer science research and academia. From 2013 until the present, Ting Yu has worked at the Qatar Computing Research Institute, initially as a Senior Scientist, then as a Principal Scientist, and currently as a Research Director, Cyber Security. At this institute, Ting Yu has focused on cyber security research. Prior to this, Ting Yu worked at Northcarolina State University, starting as an Assistant Professor in 2003 and then becoming an Associate Professor in 2009. Ting Yu's tenure at Northcarolina State University ended in 2014.

Ting Yu obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Peking University, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota from 1997 to 1998. Ting Yu then continued their education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a PhD in Computer Science between 1998 and 2003.
