James Parker has extensive work experience in marketing and media relations. James started their career as a Local Sales Manager and Promotions Coordinator at Willis Broadcasting in 1993. From 1996 to 1999, they worked as a Marketing Consultant and Regional Marketing Consultant at Clear Channel Radio. James then joined Sinclair Broadcast Group in 1999 as an Account Executive. In 2008, they became a Senior Account Executive at WSKY TV 4. In 2016, they transitioned to Hampton University, where they held the position of Multimedia Marketing Specialist until 2023. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Marketing and Media Relations at Hampton University. Additionally, James Parker is the owner of Omega Marketing LLC since 1996.
James Parker attended Norfolk State University from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mass Communications.
