Gavin Ryan

Gavin Ryan is a seasoned legal and commercial professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Senior Commercial Counsel at Hancock Prospecting Group since March 2022, Gavin has also held significant roles including Non-Executive Chairman of Pivotree and Non-Executive Director at Carnarvon Energy Ltd. Prior experience includes positions as General Counsel at PTTEP Australasia and Associate Counsel at Shell, where Gavin advised on major projects across the Asia-Pacific region. With a legal background initiated at BHP Petroleum and furthered through consultancy and independent legal practice, Gavin possesses a comprehensive understanding of the energy sector. Academic qualifications include an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of East Anglia and professional training at the College of Law in London.
