Michael Borglin currently serves as Engineering Manager at Handshake since 2024 and has been President of the Borglin Family Foundation since 2021, focusing on supporting STEM education in southern Wisconsin. Prior roles include Engineering Manager at Check and Coinbase, where Michael led diverse teams and engineering efforts in institutional applications and performance scaling. As Engineering Team Lead at Casa Inc., Michael directed the development of a notable crypto key management solution, while co-founding and serving as CEO of Lightning Ramp, introducing innovations in Bitcoin transactions. Experience at Tesla involved leading engineering teams to promote renewable energy solutions, and earlier positions include roles at Pierce Washington and an internship at Marshfield Clinic, enhancing sales capabilities and patient appointment systems, respectively. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Comprehensive from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
