S. Claiborne Johnston

S. Claiborne "Clay" Johnston is a distinguished medical professional and academic with extensive experience in neurology and epidemiology. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CMO at Harbor Health since January 2022, Johnston also holds positions as a Scientific Advisor at Soley Therapeutics and Kisbee Therapeutics. From March 2014 to September 2022, Johnston was the inaugural Dean and a Professor of Neurology at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. Prior roles include significant leadership and academic positions at UCSF, where Johnston served as Associate Vice Chancellor of Research and Director of the Clinical-Translational Science Institute, among others. Johnston's editorial contributions include serving as Vice Editor for the Annals of Neurology. Educational credentials include a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley, an MD from Harvard Medical School, and a BA in Physics from Amherst College.
