HARD-LINE
With forty years of experience in mining, Phil Pelland’s extensive knowledge in the field allows him to work in multiple roles over different departments at HARD-LINE. Phil started as a miner when he was 18, working at the Denison Mine in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada for 13 years. Once that uranium mine closed, Phil attended Sault College (in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) where he graduated with diplomas in Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering. Following post-secondary, he worked as a Field Technician and Shop Supervisor specializing in the installation and use of mining technology such as radio remote controls and leaky feeder communication systems. In 2003, Phil joined HARD-LINE and started by working in similar roles and was an instrumental member of the Research and Design team helping to develop some of the company’s flagship products. He proudly takes on the VP of Sales role but still thoroughly enjoys the hands-on elements of the business.
