Alex Dyson is a versatile presenter, author, and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Currently, Alex hosts the "Matt & Alex - All Day Breakfast" podcast at Southern Cross Austereo, which has received a nomination for Best Entertainment Podcast. As the founder and director of Comedy Republic, a live entertainment venue in Melbourne, Alex is dedicated to promoting stand-up comedy and live podcast recordings. Alex has authored two books, including the debut novel "When It Drops," long-listed for the CBCA Book of the Year for Older Readers, and the children's book "Eric the Awkward Orc." Previous experience includes serving as a breakfast presenter at Triple J, where Alex garnered significant listener engagement and won an ARIA Award. Additionally, Alex contributed a monthly column for Girlfriend Magazine during a tenure at Pacific Magazines. Alex holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Creative Writing and Visual Communication from the University of Melbourne.
