Marcus Ellis is an accomplished wine writer and educator with extensive experience in the wine industry. Currently serving as a Wine Writer and Regional Taster for McLaren Vale at Halliday Wine Companion since August 2023, Marcus also holds the position of Head of Wine at HQ Group, overseeing wine purchasing and education since October 2021. As a contributor to Hardie Grant Publishing, Marcus co-wrote 'Cook' by Karen Martini, released in August 2022. With a strong background as Head of Fine Wine at MacPhee's and a consultant for Rossi & Riccardo and Distillery Works since 2014 and 2012 respectively, Marcus specializes in wine selection strategies and content creation. Additionally, Marcus has worked as a freelance writer and editor for notable publications and served as the owner and director of mr. wolf from 2004 to 2016.
