Andrew Bates has extensive experience in the technology and consulting industries. Andrew has worked as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Harmoney Ltd, where they helped establish the largest online personal lending platform in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that, they were a Consultant and Managing Director at Haralex Consulting. Andrew also served as an Enterprise Architect at IAG NZ and held the position of CTO at Aldous Limited, where they were responsible for the development and management of core products in the telecommunications sector.
Earlier in their career, Andrew worked as the Chief Architect - Telecommunications at Sales Technologies, focusing on product configurators for telecommunication companies. Andrew also worked at Telecom New Zealand as the SalesTech SA and held roles at EDS Australia and Synergy International as a Senior Developer/Architect and Technical Lead respectively.
Andrew's early career included a role as a Technical Team Lead at Unisys, where they set up an Application Service Provider platform and played a role in implementing a Global instance of Siebel SFA. Andrew also worked as a Technical Reviewer for Wrox Press, providing expertise on IBM Websphere books.
Throughout their career, Andrew has demonstrated their expertise in technology, leadership, and strategic planning, making significant contributions to the companies they have worked for.
Andrew Bates attended The University of Auckland from 1996 to 1999. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) degree with a specialization in Information Systems. Additionally, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree with a specialization in Computer Science.
